Gwinnett County Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel mourn the death of one of their own, Firefighter/Paramedic Sam Garrison, who passed away on Thursday, March 9th, 2017. After joining the department in July 2010, Sam dedicated his life to serving others. Sam had a passion for striving beyond ordinary and caring for others, including server on the Swift Water Rescue team for many years. In addition to his humble and welcoming personality, he was well known for his genuine compassion for others and his willingness to listen and serve. He will be remembered for his passion in all that he did, befriending everyone, and his love for his family.
